Best Chronograph watches

First I want to mention again that this is an alphabetic listing and not a ranking. The watches shown here are my very personal favourites of the year 2014.

Of course not all existing models can be listed, since not all of them qualify to be mentioned here.

THESE 10 WATCHES ARE SIMPLY MY TOP 10. No jury has voted, no one has whispered something into my ears and no one has paid me any money to get listed here.

For this particular Top 10 chart I have not tried to find the cheapest chronographs, but those who offer a real good value for money. I am sure that some other brands might offer a comparable chronograph for less money; in my eyes this does not mean this watch is more attractive. The price differences some time are only small and by spending a little more you just get the more attractive and better quality chronograph.

Alpina Geneve Alpiner4 Chronograph

Price: 2395 Euro including 19 % VAT in Germany.

I simply like the design of that chronograph. It looks fabulous! The 44 mm case houses a modified Sellita “SW500” calibre with only two chronograph counters. Also the Alpina´s haptic is good, I had the chronograph several times in my hand this year and I found nothing to complain about.
